Dry Fertilizer Weight

10.0 ounces
Dilute thoroughly before applying to crops.

Expert Tip

Check irrigation water EC (Electrical Conductivity) after mixing. Over-fertilizing plants causes leaf margin burn and nutrient lockout.

Calculation Methodology & Details

๐Ÿ“

Formula

Imperial: Weight (oz) = (Target ppm × Tank gallons) / (N percent × 75) Metric: Weight (g) = (Target ppm × Tank liters) / (N percent × 10)

Computes fertilizer weight to achieve target nitrogen concentrations. The constant 75 is derived from the fact that 1 oz of 100% nutrient in 100 gal = 75 ppm.

How to Dilute Water Soluble Fertilizer

Follow these steps to mix irrigation solutions:

1

Determine Target ppm

Choose dilution target (typical vegetative growth is 100-200 ppm N).

2

Verify Tank Volume

Measure the volume of water in your irrigation reservoir.

3

Check Nitrogen Grade

Enter the nitrogen percentage from fertilizer NPK numbers.
