How to Calculate Metacam Dosing
Estimate safe meloxicam volumes using these instructions:
Determine Weight in kg
Obtain weight. Divide weight in pounds by 2.20462 if needed.
Apply Daily Target Rate
Use 0.1 mg/kg for the loading day, or 0.05 mg/kg for maintenance.
Determine Target Volume
Divide computed mg by 0.5 to find the target mL to draw using the veterinary dosing syringe.
