Calculation Methodology & Details

Formula

Total Area (with waste) = Length × Width × (1 + Waste / 100) Rolls Needed = Math.ceil(Total Area / Roll Area) Total Cost = Rolls Needed × Price per Roll

Calculates the rolls required. In US, a standard roll is 10 sq ft (2 x 5 ft). In Metric, a standard roll is 1 sq meter (40 cm x 250 cm).
